Going down the same avenue as food, Houston has so many different restaurants serving food from every corner of the world that you'll never get bored of going out to eat. From Asian to Zimbabwean, they have what you're looking for. In fact, there is entire district filled with Indian and Pakistani restaurants, grocery stores, and clothes/jewelry stores, for the adventurous, or curious, types.
Although, Houston is a wonderful place to start and raise a family with it's excellent police force, wonderful schools and even better transit system. We understand that you younger people are looking for a place that's fun, as well as safe. Well there's a place you can go for that, too. That place is Midtown. Midtown is home to so many bars, pubs and clubs, that you could go out every night and have to go to the same place twice in months. The night life in Houston ranges from casual to very posh, so whatever the mood that you're in, there's a place you can go. Recently, the place to be has become Washington Ave, attracting thousands every weekend.
And lastly, for all you fitness nuts out there. There are so many gyms in the city of Houston that if you were to move there, you shouldn't be surprised if you find one, or maybe even two, within walking distance of your apartment.
